Stephen Keshi: 'I haven't dropped Chigozie Agbim'

Nigeria coach Stephen Yeshi insists that it is "no big deal" after goalkeeper Chigozie Agbim was left out of his squad to face Mexico next month.

Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi has insisted that there was little point in selecting three goalkeepers for his side's friendly with Mexico.

Keshi takes his team to Atlanta to meet Mexico on March 5, and after being questioned over Agbim's absence, the experienced boss revealed that he was keen to see players that had not featured at the recent African Nations Championship.

The 52-year-old is quoted by Football411.com as saying: "I don't think that there is need to start raising issues on players left out of the friendly match against Mexico or those named in the team for the game.

"It is just a test game to see a few new players and those who we have not seen in a long while. So leaving out Chigozie Agbim and a few other players is no big deal.

"We have just one international game to play next month at the moment, and it will make no sense inviting three goalkeepers for just one game."

Lille's Vincent Enyeama and Hapoel Be'er Sheva's Austin Ejide are the two goalkeepers that have been picked by Keshi.
