Republic of Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni has admitted that he is considering making Wes Hoolahan part of his squad for Euro 2012.
The Norwich City winger has yet to receive a cap from Trapattoni, with his one and only appearance for Ireland coming four years ago.
However, Trapattoni has revealed that he has discussed the 29-year-old with his assistant Marco Tardelli.
"I have spoken to Marco about him, he has been fantastic," Trapattoni told The Sun. "This is not a campaign for too many young players but Hoolahan is not young.
"He played well in the last game I saw and we will consider this option."
Hoolahan came on as a substitute as Norwich lost 6-1 to Manchester City earlier today.
