Radoslaw Majewski scored a hat-trick as Nottingham Forest moved a step closer to Championship safety with a 3-0 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park this afternoon.
It was a first half of few chances, with Steve Cotteril's visitors having the better of the limited opportunities.
Majewski shot wide from long range while Dexter Blackstock forced Julian Speroni into a smart save as Forest had the better of the opening exchanges.
The Trees were rewarded for their efforts but had to wait until the second half before they opened the scoring, courtesy of Majewski's strike from just inside the box.
The Polish midfielder netted his second twenty minutes later when he turned smartly before firing home from 18 yards.
He then capped a fine individual performance by completing his hat-trick eight minutes from time.
Chris Gunter's run and cross down the right led to Majewski being found in the box and the 25-year-old applied the finish to round off a fine afternoon for Forest.
