Report: Nottingham Forest close to agreeing Brad Jones deal

Former Liverpool goalkeeper Brad Jones is closing in on a move to Nottingham Forest, according to reports.

Championship side Nottingham Forest have emerged as the favourites for the signature of former Liverpool goalkeeper Brad Jones, according to reports.

The 33-year-old is a free agent after ending his five-year spell with the Reds at the end of the season.

Forest boss Dougie Freedman is in discussions with Jones over a two-year deal at the City Ground, reports the Nottingham Post.

However, the Reds may still face competition for the player from West Bromwich Albion and Birmingham City, the newspaper adds.

Jones, who joined Liverpool for £2.3m from Middlesbrough, made 11 appearances for the Premier League side before his departure earlier this month.
