Paulo Bento is confident that Portugal can advance to the final of Euro 2012.

Portugal coach Paulo Bento has insisted that his side can beat Spain and progress to the Euro 2012 final.

The two sides meet in the last four on Wednesday with the Spaniards, who are looking for their third major tournament win in a row, the favourites to advance. However, Bento is positive ahead of the clash despite their underdog tag.

"We believe as a country and as a national team that we can reach the final," said Bento.

"I have absolutely no doubt we can get possession of the ball, we have the ambition, we have courage. It's going to be about patience, we know what we have to do."

Should they conquer Spain, then Portugal would face either Italy or Germany in the final as they look to win their first major tournament.
