Rangers midfielder John Fleck has accused the club's new owners of telling "lies".
Charles Green recently opted to reform the Scottish side as a newco following the news that his bid for the club to exit administration had failed.
However, young attacker Fleck, along with a number of other squad members, has exercised his right to reject the transfer of his contract to the newco, thus making him a free agent.
Despite reports to the contrary, Fleck has insisted that he is leaving Ibrox for "football reasons".
"It's terrible," the 20-year-old told the Daily Record. "You'd never think this could happen to a club like Rangers.
"But a couple of people have taken over the club and just told lies. It has not been great for the boys or the staff.
"Some of the fans think the boys are just leaving to get more money but I am going for football reasons."
Fleck has been linked with moves to a string of English clubs.
