Charles Green has criticised the Rangers players who have refused to transfer their contract to his newco club.
Eight players have now said that they don't intend to transfer their contracts, a tactic Green believes is "opportunism".
Lee McCulloch and Lee Wallace are the only players to have committed to the new plans so far, and Green has indicated his intentions to launch a legal challenge to the players' potential moves.
"I'm very, very disappointed of course, particularly so late in the proceedings," said Green.
"It is clear in the regulations, if someone has an objection they have to notify within 24 hours, this is nearly two weeks.
"I think this is just opportunism. We will definitely challenge it, yes."
Green's application to join the SPL with the newco club looks doomed after six clubs revealed that they intend to vote against their inclusion, with an 8-4 majority needed when the official vote is made on July 4.
