Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro: 'Criticism is expected'

Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro accepts that criticism will always follow the Spanish giants because they are "the best team in the world".

Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro has claimed that his side will 'always face criticism' because they are "the best team in the world".

Los Blancos have only lost four of their 29 La Liga fixtures this season, but currently sit four points behind second-placed Atletico Madrid and 12 off leaders Barcelona in the table.

Zinedine Zidane's side only managed to sneak past Las Palmas at the weekend, meanwhile, and Casemiro, who netted the winner in Gran Canaria, is not paying too much attention to the criticism of his side.

"We're criticised when we play badly because we're the best team in the world," Casemiro told reporters.

Real Madrid will continue their league season at home to top-four chasing Sevilla this weekend.
