Thursday's Real Madrid transfer talk news roundup: Gareth Bale, Dele Alli, Luis Suarez

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Real Madrid on Thursday, September 17.

The summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Real Madrid eye possible reinforcements.

Florentino Perez oversaw a significant overhaul of his squad last summer before focusing more on youth in January. As is always the case with Madrid, though, some of the biggest names in football continue to be linked, even in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news of possible comings and goings at the Bernabeu.

Thursday morning's Real Madrid transfer talk news roundup:

Dele Alli 'left out of Tottenham Hotspur squad amid Real Madrid talk'

Dele Alli has reportedly been left out of the Tottenham Hotspur squad for Thursday's Europa League clash with Lokomotiv Plovdiv amid the speculation surrounding his future.

The England international was replaced at the interval of Tottenham's 1-0 defeat to Everton on the opening weekend of the 2020-21 Premier League campaign.

A recent report claimed that Spurs had offered Real Madrid the chance to sign Alli as part of a deal for Gareth Bale, who is said to be closing in on a return to North London.

According to Football Insider, Alli is one of eight first-team players to be left out of the trip to Bulgaria, sparking fresh rumours surrounding his future with the summer transfer window still open.

The 24-year-old has scored 62 times and registered 55 assists in 223 appearances for Spurs since arriving from MK Dons in the summer of 2015.

The attacker struggled to make his mark during the 2019-20 campaign, though, scoring just nine times in 38 appearances, while he has also lost his place in the England squad.

Gareth Bale 'completes Tottenham Hotspur return on one-year loan'

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly expected to announce the loan signing of Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale in the coming days.

Having fallen out of favour under Zinedine Zidane at the Bernabeu, the 31-year-old has been linked with a move away from the La Liga champions for some time.

However, given the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic, few expected the Wales international to be in contention for a return to former club Spurs, especially on a temporary basis.

Nevertheless, the Daily Mail claims that Bale has formally penned terms with the Premier League outfit ahead of an official announcement before the end of the week.

The report claims that Spurs are willing to pay the attacker's wage in full, leaving them with a £13m outlay over the course of the campaign.

Bale initially left Spurs in 2013 after Los Blancos agreed to sign him for £85.3m, a then-world-record fee.
