Sunderland winger James McClean has expressed his delight in being called up to the Republic of Ireland's squad for this summer's European Championships.
The 23-year-old was named in the squad by manager Giovanni Trapattoni following an impressive display for the Black Cats this season.
McClean wrote on Twitter: "Absolutely honoured and couldn't be happier to have been called up to represent my country at the euros no better feeling!"
The Premier League player made his senior debut for the national side in February.
