Steve Evans: 'Norwich City win would be best of career'

Rotherham United boss Steve Evans says that beating promotion-chasing Norwich City on Saturday would go down as one of the best victories of his managerial career.

Rotherham United manager Steve Evans has claimed that a win against Norwich City on Saturday would rank as the best of his career.

The Millers could go into the match having been deducted points for fielding an ineligible player against Brighton & Hove Albion earlier this month, which would take them closer to the Championship relegation zone.

A disciplinary panel is expected to deliver its verdict today after Rotherham were charged by the Football League for playing Farrend Rawson despite his youth loan switch from Derby County having expired.

"If we get a win against Norwich that would be my best result as a manager, given the circumstances," Evans told the Sheffield Star.

"We have to take whatever the decision is and then deal with it. We're trying to focus on Norwich. We've put it out of our minds before, and we'll do it again on Saturday."

As it stands, Rotherham are four points clear of the bottom three with two games remaining.
