Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has said that he is delighted with the progress made by his side during their trip to the Netherlands.
The Saints made it three wins from three on their pre-season tour by easing to a 3-0 victory over Feyenoord at De Kuip.
That impressive win on Thursday evening came on the back of earlier triumphs against FC Groningen and Quick '20, which Koeman believes offers plenty of encouragement for the future.
"In general it was a good performance and a good way to end the week," he told the club's official website. "The lads showed again a great spirit, a great teamwork and I'm happy about this week because we make more steps to be close to physically 100%.
"Next week we have to start in a serious way. After the 2-0 we had total control, maybe some good shots of Feyenoord but they didn't create any chances. We controlled the game.
"Maybe we were a little bit too sloppy in some moments. The clean sheet was important too, because they make points and wins in games. That's one of the qualities of our team and I'm happy about the defensive performance."
Next up for Southampton is a Europa League qualifier against Vitesse.
