Reports claim that Phil Brown will be named as Paul Sturrock's replacement at Southend United tomorrow.

Phil Brown will reportedly be appointed the new manager of Southend United tomorrow morning.

The Shrimpers are in the market for a new boss following their decision to part company with Paul Sturrock earlier today.

However, just minutes after Sturrock's dismissal was confirmed, 53-year-old Brown has been identified as the club's new manager, according to numerous reports.

Brown has been out of work since he left Preston North End back in 2011. He has also managed Derby County, as well as having guided Hull City to the Premier League in 2008.
