Gareth Bale has been ruled out of Wales's friendly against the Republic of Ireland on Wednesday.
The Tottenham Hotspur winger, who has been heavily linked with a world-record move to Real Madrid, took part in a light training session with the squad on Monday following a foot injury.
However, assistant coach Kit Symonds has confirmed that he will not play against the Irish in Cardiff.
"He's not done the sufficent work yet to feature but the great thing is he wanted to be part of the group and we're pleased to have him on board," Symonds told Sky Sports News.
Bale last featured in a competitive match for Spurs against Swindon Town on July 16.
