Tim Sherwood: 'I would have finished fourth'

Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood claims that his side would have finished in the top four if he had been in charge for the entire season.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood has claimed that his side would have finished in the top four if he had been in charge for the entire season.

Sherwood took over at White Hart Lane from Andre Villas-Boas in December and has guided the club to a sixth-placed finish in the Premier League table.

"If I had started the season, we would have been in the Champions League," BBC Sport quotes him as saying.

Spurs claimed a 3-0 victory over Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon to book their spot in the Europa League next season.
