Reports suggest that Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has offered Andre Villas-Boas the job as manager.

Tottenham Hotspur have offered Andre Villas-Boas the job as manager, according to reports.

The Portuguese was installed as favourite to take over at White Hart Lane after Harry Redknapp was sacked earlier this month.

A host of names have been linked with the vacant post, including David Moyes, Roberto Martinez and Laurent Blanc, but it has now been reported that Daniel Levy has settled on the former Chelsea boss.

According to The Mirror, Levy wants Villas-Boas to take over on July 1, the day the summer transfer window opens.

The 34-year-old has been linked with a number of top European jobs after being axed from the Stamford Bridge hot-seat in March.

Blues owner Roman Abramovich had reportedly paid around £14m to release him from his contract at FC Porto in June of last year.
