Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Luka Modric reportedly issued a humble apology to Spurs chairman Daniel Levy late on Monday.
The 26-year-old, who has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid, met Levy at Tottenham's training ground before boarding a flight to join the club on their pre-season tour of the US, according to The Sun.
The Croatian failed to travel with the rest of his teammates on Sunday in the hope of securing a move to Spain, however, Levy has remained firm that he will not sell for less than £38m.
Modric was also reportedly fined £800,000 for refusing to train last week.
