Bafetimbi Gomis looking forward to Wilfried Bony partnership

New Swansea City signing Bafetimbi Gomis says that he is looking forward to playing alongside fellow striker Wilfried Bony.

New Swansea City signing Bafetimbi Gomis has said that he is looking forward to playing alongside fellow striker Wilfried Bony.

France international Gomis completed his move to the Swans on Friday, after leaving Lyon on a free transfer.

Bony has been linked with a move away from the Liberty Stadium this summer, but Gomis is confident that he can strike up a successful forward partnership with his new teammate.

"I do not see Wilfried Bony as competition, more of an association, because I know we can also play perfectly together," he told the club's official website. "We can benefit each other and that will be strong for the team."

Gomis scored 14 goals for Lyon in Ligue 1 last season.
