Swansea City manager Garry Monk has admitted that he feels "disappointed" for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after the Norwegian left his post as Cardiff City boss.
The former Manchester United player lasted just nine months at the Welsh outfit.
Today, the club confirmed Solskjaer's departure following a four-game winless run in the Championship.
In this afternoon's press conference, Monk said: "A change of manager midway through a campaign is never easy, especially when you're new to the league and you're there or thereabouts in the relegation battle.
"In terms of the ins and outs, I don't know how it's worked out for Ole, but in terms of when I met him and spoke to him about football, he was a good guy and very knowledgeable.
"He seemed a very good manager, and looking at his relationship with the players, from the outside it looked very good. I just feel disappointed for him."
Cardiff were relegated from the Premier League last season.
