Tommy Rowe ruled out for three months with broken foot

Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Tommy Rowe is ruled out for three months after fracturing his foot against Watford on Boxing Day.

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett has backed Tommy Rowe to have a successful career at Molineux despite the midfielder being ruled out for three months with a fractured foot.

Rowe suffered the injury just two minutes after coming on as a substitute against Watford on Boxing Day, and Jackett, who signed the 26-year-old during the summer, has admitted that it is a frustrating time for both himself and the player.

The 52-year-old is quoted by the Express & Star as saying: "Tommy has had an operation and will be out for around three months.

"It's amazing that with all the training that he has done, he just struck a ball up the line at Watford within two minutes of going on and picked up the injury.

"It's really frustrating for him and that has been Tommy's season so far, but he has the quality and the personal commitment in abundance and he will come back. If it's the end of the season or next season for him, he is still going to be a very good Wolves player."

Rowe has made 14 appearances for Wolves in the Championship this season.
