Red Bull plans to eliminate the complicated and often criticized name of its second Formula 1 team beginning in 2025.
The Faenza-based team, originally acquired by Red Bull after taking over Minardi nearly 20 years ago, has undergone several name changes over the years, from Toro Rosso to Alpha Tauri.
For the 2024 season, Red Bull opted to rebrand the team once more, introducing the name Visa Cash App RB F1 Team.
The name has been widely ridiculed, with some struggling to even know what to call the team – with fans and media alike using abbreviations like VCARB, RB, or simply falling back on 'Toro Rosso.'
Throughout 2024, however, Red Bull F1 advisor Dr. Helmut Marko has consistently referred to the team as 'Racing Bulls.' Reports from multiple sources now suggest that this will indeed become the official team name from next year.
Both Visa and Cash App are expected to continue their roles as major sponsors.
