British golfer Justin Rose has claimed that double Major winner Jordan Spieth is suited to the Old Course at St Andrews, which will host The Open next week.
Spieth has won both The Masters and the US Open this season, and is looking to win his third Major of the year on the Scottish coast.
Rose said at a press conference: "I've played a lot of golf with Jordan recently and I've seen how solid he is. I think he's going to do very well at St Andrews because the greens are going to be softer than usual. So from 20 or 30 feet, that's where you're going to have putts and that's where he's at his best.
"St Andrews is a golf course which you can get around without too much trouble. You can play it safe most of the time. A lot of it is going to come down to who makes the most putts, and that's Jordan's strength."
The tournament gets underway on Thursday.
