England defeated championship leaders South Africa 21-14 at the Prince Chichibu Memorial Rugby Ground in Japan to win their first title of this season's Sevens World Series.
Having been heavily beaten by Fiji on Saturday, the Red Rose managed to bounce back in style by racking up three tries through Phil Burgess, Charlie Hayter and Tom Mitchell on their way to claiming victory.

It is England's first title win since they tasted glory at the Wellington Sevens back in February 2013, and it is enough to move them up to fourth place in the overall standings.
South Africa still lead the way after finishing as runners-up in Tokyo, while Fiji are four points behind in second. Meanwhile, New Zealand, who have lifted 12 of the 15 Sevens World Series titles, endured a disappointing week to remain in third place.
