James Duckworth prepared to trouble Richard Gasquet

James Duckworth insists that he has the tools to cause a shock against Richard Gasquet in the second round of the Australian Open.

James Duckworth has insisted that he has the tools to hurt Richard Gasquet ahead of their second-round clash at the Australian Open.

The 22-year-old used the backing of his fellow Australians to beat Blaz Kavcic in five sets on the opening day in Melbourne, and he is confident of providing a difficult test for 24th seed Richard Gasquet.

"I played him at Wimbledon last year. Lost in five sets there against him. He's a quality player. You know, he's been around for a while, been inside the top 10," Duckworth, who is currently ranked 119th in the world, told reporters. "He's going to be really tough, but looking forward to it, yeah.

"I think my ability to come forward a bit, you know, make him pass me will trouble a lot of the top guys. Just to play aggressive tennis and really just take it to him, make him beat me. Yeah, that's the goal."

Duckworth has never reached the third round of a Grand Slam.
