British number two Dan Evans has reached the second round of the Aegon Championships with a three-set victory over world number 51 Jurgen Melzer.
The 24-year-old will now meet seventh seed Kevin Anderson for the chance to advance again at Queen's Club.
Evans took the opening set 6-3 before Melzer levelled things up by winning the second 7-5 in a tie-break.
The deciding set was settled by another tie-break, but this time it was Evans who came through 7-2 against the Austrian to progress.
