Andy Murray will potentially have to face Novak Djokovic if he is to reach the Shanghai Masters final for the fourth time in his career.
Murray, the 2010 and 2011 champion, has been handed a tough draw in China, with the Scot scheduled to face either Andreas Seppi or Steve Johnson in his opening match.
Murray is seeded to meet David Goffin and Tomas Berdych before the last four where he could meet world number one Djokovic, who has also won the event on two occasions.
The other half of the draw is headed by Roger Federer, while Stanislas Wawrinka and Rafael Nadal are seeded to meet in the quarter-finals.
