Green Bay Packers dominate the Minnesota Vikings

Green Bay Packers go 5-2 for their NFL season by beating the Minnesota Vikings 44-31 at the Mall of American Field.

Green Bay Packers have recorded a 44-31 win over the Minnesota Vikings to go 5-2 in the NFC North division.

It was the home side who took an early lead, as Cordarrelle Patterson returned the kickoff 109 yards in the first play at the Mall of America Field.

However, the Packers recovered quickly, as Aaron Rodgers found Jordy Nelson with a pin-point 11-yard pass to get his team within one, and Mason Crosby kicked the extra.

Both teams traded field goals early in the second quarter before Rodgers and Nelson once again did the damage, as this time the wide receiver collected a pass and ran 76 yards for the touchdown.

With 90 seconds left in the first half, Micah Hyde ran 93 yards to put the visitors in complete control, although Adrian Peterson capped off a 77-yard drive just before the break.

Eddie Lacy scored early in the second quarter as the game continued to slip quickly away from the Vikings, and James Starks made the win all but a certainty with the first act of the fourth quarter.

Toby Gerhart and Christian Ponder restored pride to the scoreline for the Vikings late on, but the final scoreline flattered them as they had been beaten for a long time before the Packers ran out the clock.

The Vikings are anow 1-6 and bottom of the NFC North.
