Gary Kubiak has said that surgery to correct a herniated disc in Arian Foster's back has gone well.
The Houston Texans running back will miss the rest of the 2013 NFL campaign after electing to undergo the operation, which took place in California yesterday.
The team's head coach, who returned to work this week following a recent mini-stroke, told reporters: "His surgery went well and that's about all I know. I don't normally have any more particulars on it, but I know he had it and he's doing well, and [he'll] start the recovery process."
Foster was able to play in eight games for the Texans this year, recording 542 rushing yards.
