Draft prospect Teddy Bridgewater dreaming of being first overall pick

Louisville Cardinals quarterback Teddy Bridgewater says that he just wants to be "that guy" who gets chosen first during the 2014 NFL Draft.

College star Teddy Bridgewater has stated that being chosen first in the 2014 NFL Draft is his ultimate dream.

Louisville Cardinals quarterback Bridgewater has been widely tipped to be the first name off the board in the spring, when the Houston Texans have the first choice at Radio City Hall in New York.

During an interview with WHBE-AM radio, Bridgewater said: "Being first pick is my dream right now, and I'm just trying to make it come true. I just want to be that guy.

"In terms of agents and things, I've been advised by guys who have played in the NFL and guys who have my best interests. It's a process. When you meet people, you have to gain their trust with just one meeting. I've been talking to a couple guys and just trying to build that relationship."

Bridgewater threw for 3,970 yards during the 2013 regular season, with 31 touchdown passes to his name.
