Half-Time Report: Washington Redskins edging Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings trail by just three at half time in their NFL game against the Washington Redskins.

The Washington Redskins have headed into half time with a narrow 10-7 lead over the Minnesota Vikings in their NFL clash this evening.

Starting quarterback Robert Griffin III returned from a six-week absence with a dislocated ankle, and he appeared to be moving well in the opening drive, but the hosts had to settle for a Kai Forbath field goal.

Teddy Bridgewater looked for Cordarrelle Patterson to put the Vikings ahead with a deep ball downfield, but the wide receiver lost track of the high ball in the bright conditions.

The mix-up gave the ball back to the Redskins, and a long Griffin pass to DeSean Jackson quickly got them back into Minnesota territory, allowing Alfred Morris to run it in from 14 yards out.

Washington missed the chance to increase their lead in the final minute of the half though as Griffin threw an interception to Captain Munnerlyn.

The turnover brought Bridgewater back onto the field to try and get Minnesota off the mark, and he managed to find tight end Chase Ford for his first career touchdown just before the break.
