New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin has admitted that he agrees with Orlando Scandrick that his team should have done their talking on the field on Sunday.
Cowboys cornerback Scandrick said following the clash between the two sides that he had never heard a team with a 4-6 record talk in such a way before, with Victor Cruz and Terrell Thomas both 'guaranteeing' that the Giants would win.
Coughlin told the New York Daily News: "Talk is cheap. 'Just play the game' is my policy and I, quite frankly, was unaware of the two guarantees that were made beforehand and that people made a big deal about.
"I don't believe in that stuff. I think you play the game. I understand there was a little bit of it last week and I don't believe in any of that."
Defeat for the Giants leaves them third in the NFC East with a 4-7 record.
