The Tennessee Titans have reportedly decided against using their franchise tag on Alterraun Verner.
The cornerback, who made 57 tackles and five interceptions in 2013, is due to become a free agent next month, while teams can start using their franchise tags from Monday.
The Tennessean reports that the Titans have no plans to use their tag on the 25-year-old, but are hoping to agree a new contract with Verner for the 2014 NFL season.
The 25-year-old was selected for the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career as a result of his 2013 performances.
