Carl Froch: 'Andre Ward fight could be my last'

World super-middleweight champion Carl Froch insists that a rematch with Andre Ward can wait until next year and admits that it may be his last fight.

IBF and WBA super-middleweight world champion Carl Froch has admitted that he could retire following a rematch with Andre Ward.

The 35-year-old, who won his rematch with Mikkel Kessler last week, has already admitted that he wants to have a second fight with the American as well.

"Let's keep [Ward] on ice for the minute because I've got other options," said Froch.

"He is still in rehab [after a shoulder injury], so I can probably get a fight in before Christmas, and then in Spring or Summer next year we could have a massive showdown with Ward.

"That could be the end for me because I am in the twilight of my boxing career. Who knows? I could box even longer than that. As long as I have got the desire I will keep going."

Froch also claimed that he would be willing to fight Ward in Las Vegas after previously insisting on a bout in the United Kingdom.
