WBA and IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin will look to extend his unbeaten record in the professional ranks to 30 matches when he faces Daniel Geale next month.
Golovkin had been expected to face mandatory challenger Jarrod Fletcher, but a request to face former world titlist Geale was granted and the two will meet at Madison Square Garden on July 26.
Geale lost his IBF belt to Great Britain's Darren Barker last August, but after defeating compatriot Garth Wood, he has been given another opportunity to win global honours.
The Australian had been scheduled to fight Matthew Macklin in May but the bout was scrapped when heavyweight Mike Perez, who was headlining the show, suffered an injury.
