Australia have all but wrapped up the five-match one-day international series against the West Indies with two games left to spare.
The hosts headed into the third clash with two victories under their belts and a strong innings in Canberra left the visitors with a chase of 330.
The West Indies had a steady start to their innings with the help of Darren Bravo, who surpassed a half-century and was eventually bowled out by James Faulkner for 86.
The visitors looked to Chris Gayle to edge nearer to the required total but the match swung around in Australia's favour when Faulkner was able to add to his wicket haul by dismissing the batsman on just two runs.
Clint McKay called time on Devon Thomas (19) and Andre Russell (43) at the crease, while Glen Maxwell, Mitchell Johnson and Mitchell Starc took one wicket apiece.
The total was too much of an uphill struggle for the West Indies as they were bowled out for 290 in the 47th over.
