Ahmed Shehzad hits century as Pakistan build lead over Australia

Ahmed Shehzad reaches 128 before tea as Pakistan open up a 382-run lead over Australia on day four of the first Test in Dubai.

Pakistan have opened up a 382-run lead over Australia as they piled on the runs in the afternoon session on day four of the first Test in Dubai, reaching 231-1 at tea.

After passing the half-century mark in the morning, Ahmed Shehzad continued to lead the charge for the hosts, taking his total to an unbeaten 128 ahead of the interval.

Younis Khan, who joined Shehzad at the crease shortly before lunch, also survived the whole session, and will resume on 67 for the evening session.

Steve O'Keefe remains the only bowler to have taken a wicket in this innings so far, and bowled for most of the afternoon supported by Peter Siddle and Nathan Lyon, while Mitchell Johnson's overs proved expensive.

Pakistan posted a first-innings total of 454 before bowling the tourists out for 303 yesterday.
