England lose Alastair Cook and Jonathan Trott by tea against New Zealand as they sit on 113-3 on the opening day of the first Test at Lord's.

England head into the evening session of the opening day of the first Test against New Zealand on 113-3 without captain Alastair Cook and batsman Jonathan Trott.

The hosts had a cautious start to the day by reaching 56-1 at lunch, and they continued their slow pace in the second session with Cook and Trott at the crease.

Cook was eventually caught by BJ Watling from a Trent Boult bowl on 32, while Trott was later caught out by Dean Brownlie, with Boult taking his second wicket of the day.

Weather conditions become gloomier as the day progressed, which suited the Black Caps bowlers as they began to pile on the pressure ahead of the final session.
