England pace-bowler Steve Finn has confirmed that he will join New Zealand-based club Otago Volts for one month following the conclusion of England's ongoing tour of India.

The 22-year-old has revealed that he has made the move in the hope that it will improve his chances of representing England against Pakistan next year.

"I am delighted to be joining Otago Volts for four first-class games at the end of our one-day Series in India," said Finn.

"I felt it was crucial to get some four-day cricket under my belt before, I hope, being selected for England's series against Pakistan in UAE in January.

"Therefore when the opportunity to play in New Zealand came up, I jumped at the chance to join the Volts."

Finn is expected to make his Volts debut against Canterbury on Monday, November 5.
