Openers Andrew Strauss and Jonathan Trott both produce unbeaten centuries during England's final warm-up match in Sri Lanka.

England captain Andrew Strauss and batsman Jonathan Trott both made unbeaten centuries during their side's warm-up fixture against a Sri Lanka Development XI in Colombo this morning.

The Development side allowed the tourists in to bat when they declared after 100 overs with a score of 431-6.

Openers Strauss and Trott made the most of the opportunity, hitting 100 and 101 respectively before opting to retire their innings.

Kevin Pietersen scored 22, while Ian Bell went for 14 runs as England then lost two wickets within five deliveries.

The visitors declared on 272-4 with Ravi Bopara and Samit Patel both at the crease unbeaten on 12 runs apiece.

In reply, the Sri Lankan youngsters lost one wicket as Malinda Warnapura was trapped lbw off the bowling of Stuart Broad for four runs.

They will resume on the final day of play on 44-1.
