Opening batsman Virender Sehwag will miss the rest of India’s Test series against England due to injury, it has been reported.
The 32-year-old is struggling with discomfort after undergoing surgery on his shoulder in May, and also has balance problems due to a hearing issue with his left ear.
According to ESPNcricinfo, a BCCI source said: “The shoulder injury has not completely healed. He will return after the Test series.”
Earlier in the series, star bowler Zaheer Kahn was withdrawn from the Indian squad with hamstring and ankle problems.
The BCCI have yet to make an official statement, while England go into day five of the fourth Test just seven wickets away from a 4-0 whitewash.
