India have taken a 2-0 lead in their one-day series against Sri Lanka by winning the second clash by six wickets.
Sri Lanka opted to bat first after winning the toss in Ahmedabad, and while Angelo Mathews impressed with an unbeaten 92, his nation posted 274-8 after 50 overs.
In reply, Ajinkya Rahane and Shikhar Dhawan came to the crease for India, but they suffered an early wobble when Rahane was dismissed by Dhammika Prasad for eight.
Despite the early breakthrough, Sri Lanka struggled in the field as Dhawan raced to 79 from 80 deliveries before Seekkuge Prasanna sent him packing.
India continued to dominate and Virat Kholi fell just one run shy of a half-century, but the star performance came from Ambati Rayudu, who secured a century and ended the innings unbeaten on 117.
India reached their target of 275 runs with 33 balls to spare.
