South Africa are through to the semi-finals of the ICC Champions Trophy after drawing their game with the West Indies on Duckworth-Lewis.

South Africa have sealed a place in the semi-finals of the ICC Champions Trophy after their match against the West Indies was abandoned this afternoon.

The start of the meeting was delayed because of wet conditions in Cardiff, but when the Proteas were eventually able to bat, they set their opponents a target of 231, with Colin Ingram posting a score of 73.

Chris Gayle made a quick start to the reply for the West Indies, but was caught out by a short delivery from Chris Morris, giving Faf du Plessis a simple catch.

Another rain delay prevented the batsman from getting settled at the crease, while a solid bowling display from Dale Steyn kept the wickets tumbling.

The covers were places over the pitch with the West Indies at 190-6, meaning the game was tied on Duckworth-Lewis, resulting in the South Africans progressing to the last four and the West Indies heading home.
