German diver: 'Rio pool smells gassy'

German diver Stephan Feck hits out at the 'flatulent' smell of the Rio diving pool, which has mysteriously turned green over the last week.

Germany diver Stephan Feck has hit out at the state of the pool at the Maria Lenk Aquatics Centre, claiming that it smells like an anal emission.

The pool has sparked intrigue over the last week after the water gradually turned bright green, prompting organisers to close it down while they attempt to work out the cause of the discolouration.

Feck, who is due to compete in the men's 3m springboard competition next week, took to Facebook on Friday to post a selfie next to the pool with his fingers covering his nose.

Divers have been forced to undergo 'dry' training sessions with trampolines and harnesses while the pool is out of action.
