Massimiliano Allegri admits to offside goal

Massimiliano Allegri says that AC Milan "improved vastly" in the second half of their game against Catania.

AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has admitted that Stephan El Shaarawy's equaliser against Catania was offside.

The Rossoneri came from behind to secure a 3-1 win at the Stadio Angelo Massimino, but Allegri gave the hosts credit for a battling performance.

"The first goal from El Shaarawy was offside," Allegri told Sky Sport Italia. "It was easy to see. It was tough on Catania, because they played a really good game.

"The first half was very even, but we improved vastly in the second half. It is an important win for us and it allows us to continue the good form we are on."

Milan are now seventh in Serie A.
