Juventus striker Alessandro Del Piero has admitted that his side are the favourites to lift the Serie A title.

The Bianconeri are in the driving seat with a three-point advantage over AC Milan, but the veteran forward warned his teammates about complacency.

"It is not superstition, but we can only talk about the Scudetto when we have mathematically won," he told Premio Gentleman.

"We are in a clearly privileged position, but if you look at what has happened this season in the league, you realise the dangers which lurk behind every game."

Juventus take on Novara away from home on Sunday, a game which Del Piero claims will be the "most important match of the season".

The Bianconeri's last official title win was back in 2003, as their subsequent crowns were revoked during the Calciopoli scandal of 2006.
