AC Milan to keep faith with Filippo Inzaghi

AC Milan's television channel declares that coach Filippo Inzaghi will not be sacked following their 1-0 defeat to 10-man Lazio.

AC Milan have issued under-fire coach Filippo Inzaghi with a vote of confidence following Tuesday's 1-0 Coppa Italia defeat to Lazio at San Siro.

The Rossoneri bowed out of the competition as Lucas Biglia's 38th-minute effort saw 10-man Lazio progress into the semi-finals.

Inzaghi's side boasted a numerical advantage for 45 minutes after Lorik Cana was dismissed on the stroke of half time after picking up a second yellow card.

Speculation had mounted prior to kickoff that defeat would see the end of Inzaghi's eight-month reign.

However, Milan Channel immediately declared that the 41-year-old would not be fired for their latest defeat in a series of results that includes just two Serie A wins since October.
