Lea Richardson has said that James Beattie is happy at League Two side Accrington Stanley.
The former England striker joined the side last month in a player-coach role, and already has three goals for the club.
The manager told Sky Sports News: "From a personal point of view James has come in and he's enjoyed playing football again.
"He's got goals, that's what he's got throughout his career and that's why he wants to still play football.
"In the dressing room he's fantastic with the young lads. All his experience and information - everything he can give to the young lads he's doing on a regular basis."
Beattie is expected to return to the Accrington lineup in the FA Cup replay against Oxford United this evening after two games out.
