Fleetwood Town recall Rob Atkinson from loan at Accrington Stanley after Youl Mawene sustains a broken foot.

Fleetwood Town have confirmed that Youl Mawene faces a four week layoff with a broken foot.

The French defender sustained the injury in last weekend's loss to Dagenham and Redbridge, but managed to finish the game.

Rob Atkinson, who had been on loan at Accrington Stanley, has been recalled.

Accrington manager Leam Richardson told BBC Radio Lancashire: "We'll monitor the situation and see what comes of it.

"He settled in really well and I think he's enjoyed it. If the same circumstances become evident again, I think he would like to return.

"Rob's done smashing, we thank him and we wish him well. We hope he has an impact on Fleetwood's season."

Fleetwood face Aldershot in the second round of the FA Cup tomorrow.
