Gillingham's lead is cut to four points after a home defeat by Exeter in League Two.

Gillingham's lead at the top of League Two has been cut to four points following defeat to Exeter City and Port Vale's comprehensive victory.

Jamie Cureton scored twice for Exeter as they took all three points away to the leaders and Tom Pope fired in a hat-trick for second-placed Vale in their 4-0 win against Bristol Rovers.

Southend United moved up to eighth with a thumping 4-0 win at AFC Wimbledon and Chesterfield United also scored four goals in their 4-1 win against Cheltenham Town.

James Beattie scored for Accrington Stanley in their 3-1 win away to Fleetwood Town.

There was excitement at Rotherham United Stadium and Underhill as Rotherham fell to a 3-2 defeat to Wycombe Wanderers and Barnet came from 2-1 down to claim a point against Oxford United.
