Francisco Rodriguez calls for improvement

Almeria boss Francisco Rodriguez admits that his team need to improve as they look for their first league win of the season.

Almeria boss Francisco Rodriguez has admitted that his team need to improve as the season gathers pace.

The newly-promoted outfit, who came through the playoffs in the Segunda Division last season, are yet to win a league match this season.

"It is true that we have gone eight games without a win. And it is normal for people to talk," he told reporters at a press conference.

"That's what happens in any business. But we just want to improve the team and keep on working all in the same direction.

"We're not holding any one responsible for the losses – we are all to blame. The players are giving 100 per cent in what is a difficult division."

Almeria return to league action at home to Rayo Vallecano on October 20.
